Mentorship Plan Options:

 

 

  • In this 4-month mentorship program, we’ll focus on mastering foundational skills and gradually applying them to different subjects, helping you become a well-rounded artist. Each month builds on the previous one, blending technical growth with artistic vision:

      February: Begin with understanding color relationships, temperature, and form through studies with a limited palette and simple objects like spheres. You’ll also explore light and shadow, complementary colors, and color dominance.

      March: Focus on composition and accuracy using a still life of an apple. You’ll learn how to compose, measure, block in color, refine values, and work with edges. Glazing techniques will also be introduced.

      April: Build on your skills with a floral painting, working on dynamic compositions, layering colors, and capturing the essence of flowers.  

      May: Apply your technical skills to portraiture, focusing on proportions, light and shadow, and painting lifelike skin tones. You’ll meet weekly via Zoom for live class sessions, receive detailed feedback on your progress, and have access to all mentorship recordings and resources for a year—or as long as you remain a mentee. This program blends technical training with your artistic vision, setting you on a path to long-term growth.

      If you already have a strong foundation in the fundamentals of oil painting and are looking to take your work to the next level, the Advanced Mentorship is designed for you. This program is ideal for artists who feel confident in their technical skills and are ready to focus on more personalized, ambitious projects. In this mentorship, we will center on your individual artistic goals—whether you’re working on a portrait, a multi-figure composition, a floral painting, an intricate still life, or even developing a series of works. At the start of the mentorship, you’ll set your own goals, and we’ll create a tailored plan to help you reach them. You’ll meet one-on-one with me each month over Zoom to discuss your progress, refine your techniques, and work through any challenges. Weekly, you’ll have the opportunity to send progress shots or ask questions for detailed feedback.

      Live Demo Access: Participate in the live demo sessions from the Standard Mentorship, with full access to the recordings for review at your convenience.

      Mentorship Resource Page: Ongoing access to all Standard Mentorship materials and resources. If you choose the Advanced Mentorship, you can bypass the Standard program and dive right into more complex work. After the first four months, you may continue on a month-to-month basis at a reduced rate, offering continued support as you push forward with your artistic practice.

    Continuing Beyond the 4-Month Program: After the initial 4-month mentorship, you can choose to continue on a month-to-month basis at a reduced rate of $175 per month for both the Standard and Advanced Mentorship programs. No long-term commitment is required—payment is simply due at the start of each month.As part of the ongoing mentorship, you’ll receive: Monthly Check-Ins: One-on-one Zoom meetings to discuss your progress, challenges, and goals. Weekly Feedback: Submit progress shots of your work for personalized critique and guidance. Access to Live Demos: Participate in live Standard Mentorship sessions and watch the recordings at your convenience.
