Online Peony Painting Workshop
June 1, 2, and 8, 2024

Stephanie Deshpande will lead a 3-session Zoom class focused on capturing the intricate beauty of peonies using oil colors. Through her guidance, participants will develop the skills to portray these lush blooms, with an emphasis on the interplay of light and shadow. Techniques such as blocking in the composition directly on the canvas, measuring landmarks, and massing in large value areas will be covered. Discussions will revolve around comparative measurement, values, edges, and color relationships. The final session will explore glazing techniques to enhance depth and luminosity in their paintings.
Participants will receive a digital handbook, access to recorded sessions, and personalized feedback via email. All levels are welcome to join.
